The curriculum of the college follows the syllabus approved by KAU, which is in line with the syllabus specified by ICAR. All the student READY courses / modules as per ICAR norms are incorporated in the academic programme in the college. Experiential Learning Programme (ELP)

Experiential Learning Programme (ELP) as anticipated in the syllabus recommended by ICAR for B.Sc. (Hons.) Ag. is an integral part of the course curriculum at this college. This module is undertaken by the students in the 8th semester, with a duration of 24 weeks and with a weightage of 0 + 20 credits. Students can opt for any two from the various modules which is offered. During the reporting period, ELP has been completed by two of the student batches i.e., first batch (2018 - 2022) and the second batch (2019 – 23). The third batch of ELP programme (2020 -24) is currently progressing at the college.

Rural Agricultural Works Experience (RAWE)

Rural Agricultural Works Experience (RAWE) programme is a mandatory work experience programme for undergraduate students of the State Agricultural Universities. The programme was introduced as a sequel to the recommendations made by the Randhawa Committee (1992). This programme helps the students to understand the rural situation status of agricultural technologies adopted by farmers, prioritize the farmer’s problems and to develop skills and attitudes of working with farm families for all-around development in the rural areas.

College of Agriculture, Ambalavayal has undertaken the RAWE programmes “POLIMA 2018”, “UZHAVU 2019” and “NIRAVU 2020” in the seventh semester of the B.Sc. (Hons.) Ag. degree programme in Kerala Agricultural University.
